In an effort to validate my own existence and membership (having missed the last couple of meetings), I'll gladly introduce myself as a very recent addition to the GK. My name is KC. I've been riding for a little over 10 years now. My first bike was a Suzuki Savage 650. It was a very fun bike to learn to ride with that one huge single cylinder engine. Most people mistook it for a Triumph or BSA. After a couple years on that, I purchased a 2000 HD Sportster 883. I rode that for many years, making several great trips all over England and one very long East Coast ride a few years ago. Through a series of events, I now own a 1994 HD Sportster 883. About a month ago I finally upgraded to a big twin, a 2008 HD Fatboy. 2008? Yes, there was one left in Europe and I got one heck of a good deal on it. I hadn't originally considered the Fatty, but after that first 130 miles back from Ludwigshafen, I was hooked. I've been a national member of HOG since 2000 and have ridden with some small clubs and groups before, but the vast majority of my riding has been solo. I have a lot to learn about group riding and this seems like a great place to do that. I look forward to meeting everyone.

Just want to introduce myself to the group, as a new member.

This is my first street bike, rode some off road stuff when I was younger. Proud to say I ride a girls bike, an 09 Nightster.I love the sportster and plan on keeping it, but am curently saving up for a Softail. I have loved the look of the crossbones since I first seen it. i love the old school look and hopefully I will be able to get it the summer.
I was at the rally last year mostly hanging with the other sportster guys and went on the ride with Sean down through Trier.
Look forward to being a part of the Eifel Riders and having some more great times.

Dude.... don't let anyone give you too much crap about the Sporty! That thing will smoke the Crossbones in the curves around there Cool I really like the Nightster.... just don't fit on it!

Welcome Eamonn,

welcome the the Chapter 27 Forum. It is always nice to hear from our fellow Knights. We do not judge you for riding a Goldwing. Laughing Most of us have just not found the right sofa for our bikes. Laughing

It would be nice if we could get updates on any events you might be having or when you are on the road our way.

Do you have a website you post them on?

Again Welcome!!!

Not sure what to say to introduce myself but here goes.

Name is Steve. I ride an '07 Road Star (yea yea, it's not a Harley, I know). Been riding steady 4 years this June, managed 12,000 miles on my baby in under that time. Had a couple of close calls and learned some stuff, but looking forward to learning more and making some friends along with having some great rides.

I haven't ridden in almost 8 months now and I'm fiending like a crack addict (no offense to any current or former crack addicts there.... protest ). I rode year round in NC and loved ALMOST every minute of it.

I fear my baby isn't going to pass inspection though. I laid her down at low speed last year and did some damage to her. Customized a bit afterwards, which included an aftermarket set of drag pipes (LA Chopper Curve DD's), a Hypercharger, and custom paint. Sad to say I didn't think I kept all of my original pipes. I bought some baffling material to see if I can make it less "obnoxious", but I KNOW it won't pass inspection. We will see what I can do...

Wish me luck guys! Look forward to some great riding (when I am able to!).

You could try to get some off of ebay, or try one of the German Shops (polo or louis) they might have some that are "more" legal then what you have.

BTW, welcome to the forum.

Give me a call and we can check out the DB level and see where it's at. DSN 452-7426 ask for TSgt Klaver. I run the inspection station till middle of next month when I retire. I'll ensure the DB check is done correctly. The big german I have working there doesn't do it right and I think he has a hard on to fail people. The other civilian I have is fair. But give me a ring.

Hey, I am Chris Hartwell and I work in CE. I attended my first meeting yesterday and became a member. I am looking forward to spring and getting my knees in the wind again. I have an 05 Suzuki Blvd C90. I actually bought the bike right before PCSing here in Aug. I have been riding since I was a kid but dismounted in '93 until I picked up my Suzi. I was actually looking for a V-Star (I have always ridden Yamahas and love them). I just couldn't pass up the deal on my Suzi. I rode her a few times while at Tyndall. I actually got to be part of escorting the Traveling Wall down to Apalachicola. I was left in total awe with the level of patriotism displayed in each town we passed. My ass liked to kill me but it was more than well worth it. That was my first ever group ride. I figured that since I have been out of the saddle for a while, I should join the GKs and learn (and re-learn) a few things. That is about it for me. usa2

Welcome Chris. Nice to have you here. We have 2 things going on next weekend. One is going to Geilenkirschen to visit one of our Friend Clubs (the GKRA). Also, I will be heading to Verdun on Sunday with a few others. So there you have it, more rides next weekend.

Again, Welcome!!!!
